Serving the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center

Cross and Bars exists to provide dedicated Chaplains and volunteers to juvenile detention and correctional centers in central Virginia.

 

We currently serve at the City of Richmond, Virginia Juvenile Detention Center, where our Chaplain provides Christian counseling to juveniles aged 11-17. 

Through our Chaplain and dedicated volunteers, we provide weekly church services and group Bible studies to all residents.  Follow-up services and mentoring are available, when possible, upon a juvenile's release.
